On the Friday night before Mother's Day, we were expecting Marilyn & Matt & their family to arrive at our house late. We left the door unlocked and the lights on for them and went to bed. In the middle of the night, Ellie (our dog) was outside barking like crazy. I got up and yelled at her to get in the house. I could tell that the Roberts family had indeed gotten to our house and gone to bed. I took Ellie into our room and closed the door so she couldn't go back outside and bark and disturb our neighbors or us or especially the Roberts family as they had arrived very late. Early in the morning I let Ellie outside and once again she started barking like crazy. I went outside to get her to stop and this is what I found in my back yard!! I came to find out that Marilyn and Matt had brought my Mother's Day present from all of my family! They are cute and everyone loves them and because I am so crazy, I love them too.
I have taken pictures of a lot of the family holding the bunnies
but I didn't get pictures of Lexi, Jensen, Oakley or Addi with them
and they were the ones that delivered them to our house---oops!!
At first we kept them on the lawn in this fence. The dogs loved to tend them and sat by them all day. But, after a few mishaps when the fence blew over and the dogs chased them and ruffed them up a little bit we decided to move them.
Now they are living in the hay stack that we have for the horses. They seem to love it, as they have all they could ever eat surrounding them all day long!!
One thing about these bunnies, they are not just ordinary bunnies. They are "Giant" bunnies. They get very big---up to 20 pounds we are told. We had a giant bunny about 10 years ago. Here is a picture of Kolton holding that bunny. He was indeed a "Giant".
