Horses

We are all enjoying the horses.  Jeremy R. "might" even
learn to like them!!

Zucchini

If anyone is ever  wondering how many zucchini
plants to plant in your garden, one plant produces
enough zucchini to keep several families supplied.
We have two plants and our house has become
a zucchini bread factory!!!  I have found, it is easier
to hand someone a loaf of zucchini bread than
to hand them the actual zucchini squash!! You don't
feel quite as guilty.

Maxon's b-day, Deco & Kera, Horses!!!!

Anyone who tries to keep up with our crazy
life will understand why our blog is called
the "Lyman Zoo". Besides being crazy and
hectic, it seems that it is also filled with
different kinds of animal experiences.

After spending the week at the County Fair
with Camryn's and Carter's lambs where they
showed them and sold them, Kristi and I traveled to
Payson on Aug. 10th to tend Marilyn's kids while
she was at girl's camp.

Noelle had planned Maxon's birthday party for
when we would be there, so we got to be there
for it also.

A last minute party was planned when Deco &
Kera eloped!!  We got the family together for
dinner at Golden Corral.  We welcome Kera to
our family.  We all love her.

We also spent the week looking at horses that
were for sale in the area and ended up buying
two horses and a four-horse trailer!!  I know,
that is a very crazy thing to do.  The horses were
already named, "Cody" and "Panda".
On Thursday morning, we loaded the two horses
in the trailer, Kristi's kids and Jensen in Marilyn's
and Matt's suburban and I drove to Blanding with
the horses and the kids!!!  We arrived safely!!! Kristi
stayed in Payson to tend the kids there!

We did have a few problems after we arrived when
one of the horses stepped on Camryn's foot and we
thought at first it might be broken.  Luckiley it got
feeling better soon and she could walk on it.  And then
Panda broke his halter and ran away.  We chased him
for several blocks before catching him.  We finally got
them settled in their new, temporary home (Bryce's field).

Jeremy R. was not too sure about the horses in the first
place and we did not make a real good first impression
with him!!!

We all love them already (well, except for Jeremy and
he will learn to love them!!!)

This is "Cody" with his previous owners.  He is
the horse we bought in Spanish Fork.

This is "Panda".  We drove to a small town
named Avon that is right by Logan, Ut. to get
him.

4-H lambs

Camryn and Carter raised lambs for 4-H this
summer.  They kept them in our back yard.
It involved feeding them 2 times a day and
walking them almost daily.

Even Ellie became friends with the lambs.
It seemed like after her puppies were sold
she needed more attention and needed friends!!

Washing the lambs getting them ready for the
fair.

Showing the lambs and being judged.  Camryn's
lamb took 7th and Carter's lamb took 8th.

There was also lots of entertainment at the fair:
a carnival with a rock climbing wall, a concert and
a rodeo.
