4-Wheeling at Silverton

On August 4th, 5th & 6th we went 4-wheeling at Silverton and surrounding area.  There are old mines everywhere and several old ghost towns that were mining towns years ago.  It is absolutely gorgeous there.  It has been referred to as America's Switzerland.  Pictures do not do it justice!!!!!

It rained a lot while we were there but it didn't ruin our fun.  We cooked and ate under a canopy and watched the rain.  We slept in a tent and enjoyed listening to the rain.  On Tuesday, the 5th, we went for a big, long 4-wheeler ride (around 72 miles) and got caught in a rain storm. But it was an adventure.

We had so much fun.

Setting up Camp

Wildlife everywhere

We found sheep and the dogs and the horse
that take care of them!

As we left this "Garden of Eden", we drove
through Silverton.  It has become a tourist
town.  Very busy and full of tourists.
