Another early morning call you don't want to get

On the morning of September 18th, 2014 I got a text message from Noelle on my phone that said: "Living another nightmare.  Call me when you are awake".  When I called she said they had had a fire that started in the garage.  The smoke alarms woke them at 2:30AM.  At first it didn't really hit me how serious it was.  But, the more she told me about the fire, I realized that it had done a lot of damage.  The fire that started in the garage had quickly moved into the house.  Noelle and Trent had gotten their kids out just minutes before the flames were in their rooms.  They all made it out of the house ok, as did Trent's mother, Kathy.  Elway, their dog made it out but Kathy's dog did not.

This is a bush by the sidewalk outside that was burned and Trent's car in the driveway was damaged with a melted bumper, etc.

Following are a lot of pictures of the damage throughout the house.  This is a castle bed that Trent built for Scout.  The smoke, water and fire had damaged it so much it could not be salvaged.

This is a picture of the car, in the garage.  Pretty much burned up.

                                             The washer and dryer!

                                            Another picture of the car.

The next day the flames started up again.  The fire truck was back for awhile.

The house was pretty much destroyed; what the fire didn't ruin, the smoke and water did.

But, thankfully everyone was safe.  We love them all so much.

Even Winnie the Pooh made it out.  Scout ran back into the bedroom to grab him for Denver...yikes!! But, he is about the only toy that was saved!

Everyone has shown so much love to Noelle's and Trent's family.  It has been heartwarming.  Their ward, their friends, their neighbors, and their siblings and family have supported and taken care of them.  They will be ok and they will rebuild.
