As much as we love living in Blanding, it seems that we spend almost as much time in Utah Valley. With 5 of our 7 kids and 9 of our 12 grandchildren living in Utah Valley and Salt Lake area, is seems that we are there about every other weekend. Last weekend we were there to use our tickets that Marilyn and Matt had given us for a "Western Dinner/Show" at a theatre in Pleasant Grove.
Noelle had talked us into running a 5-K race Saturday morning at Thanksgiving Point. It was the "Running with Angels" race. And, yes we ran all the way and yes we finished. It was a beautiful run through the gardens of Thanksgiving Point.
We got treats after the race!!! Since Noelle was to the finish line before us, she shared her treat when we got there.
Noelle, Lexi, Marilyn, Candice & Jed (this picture was taken before the race (that's why we don't look all sweaty and red faced yet).
The "Can-Can" dancers were recruited (or maybe I should say "coerced") from the audience. Deco is the one in the green shirt. Trent is the one with the long, curly hair.
The singers were a family group---a father and his five sons. They were really good.
The weekend was complete with visits with the grandkids. Sorry I didn't get pictures of all of them this time:(
A very special part of the weekend was when Jed gave Kolton and Lexi their Patriarchal Blessings. They are the first two of our grandkids that have gotten their blessings from their grandpa----there are many more to come!!
