Day 2 in Granada started off with a delicious continental breakfast at the hotel. There was granola, fruit and biscuits and a passion fruit drink. They would also bring us eggs if we wanted, cooked however we wanted, fried or scrambled, etc.
There was fresh watermelon, pineapple and this weird looking fruit. It was red with what looked like hair all over it. It had a pretty good flavor. Here is what I found about it on google:
Rambutan
The strangest looking fruit ever, the word rambutan, in its native Indonesian, means hairy. On the hide of the fruit, which is magenta, there are many tiny green hairs. On the inside is flesh that looks like a peeled egg; it’s clear and gummy, and very watery with a large seed in the center. The flesh is described as sweet, sour and gummy to the taste. It definitely wins for the weirdest tropical fruit.

Carter and Logan were not too sure about the our delicious breakfast. This is what they did during our meal!!
We had arranged for a tour of the islands that are near Granada. There are 365 islands of all different sizes just offshore in Lake Nicaragua. We saw quite a few of them as we were on this tour. We were told that there are actually sharks in this fresh water lake. It is around 3000 square miles.
Here's a little information about Lake Nicaragua:
Lake Nicaragua is a vastFreshwater lake in Nicaragua.. With an area of 8,264 km2 (3,191 sq mi), it is the largest lake in Central America,[1] the 19th largest lake in the world (by area) and the 9th largest in the Americas. It is slightly smaller than Lake Titicaca. With an elevation of 32.7 metres (107 ft) above sea level, the lake reaches a depth of 26 metres (85 ft).
Lake Nicaragua, despite being a freshwater lake, has sawfish, tarpon, and sharks
Our tour guide, Juan.
And sure enough, Lucy hopped on the boat with us and went from person to person getting the bananas that we had brought. She was pretty cute!
We could see other monkeys in the trees and onshore.
After the bananas were gone, it was time to say adios to Lucy.
We were then taken a little further and were able to get off of the boat and go visit a family that lived on the shore of the lake.
It was time to head back.
Of course we needed to stop and eat again. We were shown the different sizes of fish they could cook up for us, but no one ordered fish this time.
The meal was delicious once again. We had one more stop to make at this Maxi Pali to do some grocery shopping.
Once again there were people who wanted their picture taken with Logan!
