Nicaragua Adventure: Day 1

Here we are in Nicaragua.  The adventure begins.  It has already been 4 weeks since Kristi and her 3 kids came here.  They have learned so much and are having an awesome experience.  The next 7 weeks should be very interesting.  I definitely will miss home, Jed, grandkids, kids, etc but expect to have an awesome experience here!!

Jeremy and I flew into the Managua airport today and were picked up by a shuttle there.  

It didn't take very long to figure out that everything about being here in this country would be different. For instance, we saw horse drawn carts of all kinds along the way.  

 Most of them appeared to be horse drawn taxis and were taking passengers to their destinations. How fun is that?

Jeremy's family had not seen him for 4 weeks.  He was greeted with a lot of hugs and kisses!!!

And the condo was decorated with these personalized balloons!

 It wasn't long after finding the family that we loaded up and took a little excursion into town.

 

                                                         We had a delicious meal.

                         
         After eating, we did a little grocery shopping at the Pali...

And then went back to the resort for a relaxing swim.

We had this beautiful view from the swimming pool!

                              So far, so good!!  It is awesome here!!!
