On Friday, March 13th, 2020, the world, as we had known it, changed. The stores were quickly running out of certain items. Toilet paper, bottled water, cleaning supplies (especially disinfectant cleaners), meats, plus many more things were sparse. The shelves in the stores were becoming bare. It was scary.
Group meetings, including all Sacrament meetings and other church meetings around the world had been put on hold. The term "Home Centered, Church supported" took on new meaning as that is what we were literally doing. Sacrament meetings in our home, Come Follow Me lessons in our home, Ministering in person was put on hold, temples were closed, any kind of group gatherings were discouraged.
A virus had begun to spread throughout the world. It was deadly and was referred to as COVID-19.
ICUs in the hospitals were filling up. People were dying.
People were asked to social distance and to wear a face covering or a mask if they were out in public.
